THE NEW YORK SKYLINE AND THE NEW JERSEY WATERFRONT
Imagine a spectacular waterfront alongside a majestic river, directly across from the most magnificent and recognizable skyline in the world. A festival of colors, the genius of man and the wonders of nature working together to produce an overwhelming scene.
The New York Skyline is a unique spectacle best enjoyed from the New Jersey Waterfront, across the Hudson River. It's the only place with stunning, unobstructed panoramic views of Manhattan Island. What you see from Dumbo, observatories, rooftop bars, and helicopters is not the iconic skyline images you're looking for. They are, at best, partial images of the skyline. You will only see unobstructed views of the whole New York City Skyline from specific points in New Jersey.
There, an 18.5-mile Waterfront Walkway offers a fascinating experience. The ever-changing Manhattan skyline, constantly remade by the addition of new and increasingly taller skyscrapers, is only part of the adventure. The waterfront, as well as the charming towns on the Hudson riverbanks, are attractions themselves. Its sunset is like no other, a truly magical, romantic moment.
Enjoy all this on a private, customizable tour for up to four people, led by Paolo, a local who can't get enough of these striking views and delightful neighborhoods. No lines, no crowded buses, no tourist traps, and no headaches if you want to cancel. Just you, Paolo, and a comfortable electric car.

Customize Your Trip: Possible Add-ons
LIBERTY STATE PARK
You can see the Statue of Liberty from up close, the 9/11 Empty Sky Memorial, and a wonderful old train station that used to be very important for the region's economy, today abandoned. Ferries to Ellis Island (a visit highly recommended, not part of the tour) and the Statue of Liberty depart from here and people often ask to finish the tour here to take the ferry to those destinations. Once they are done, they can return to NJ or take ferries to Manhattan with the same round-trip ticket.
BAPS SWAMINARAYAN AKSHARDHAM
The second-largest Hindu temple in the world and an amazing destination, located in a most unlikely place, central NJ. You will be surprised by the size and beauty of this place.
HUDSON RIVER VALLEY
Get a taste of the gorgeous Hudson River Valley by visiting Piermont, Nyack, and Cold Spring, enchanting towns on the river banks. Fall in love with those locations in a rural setting, full of restaurants with great views, and hiking trails, while enjoying a wonderful landscape.
FORT LEE and the GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE
Fort Lee is the birthplace of the US movie industry. Before Hollywood, there was Fort Lee. The northernmost town of the Gold Coast, as NJ´s waterfront area is known, Fort Lee was the site of the first motion picture productions in the U.S. and has a nice movie museum, the Barrymore Film Center. The tour includes a ride under the stunning George Washington Bridge and a visit to Fort Lee Historic Park, with a reconstructed Revolutionary War Encampment atop a cliff from where Americans bombarded British ships navigating the Hudson River. We also see from outside the singer Celia Cruz's house, where the Cuban megastar lived for more than 40 years. (It´s not a museum and the apartment is not open to the public. We simply pass by and get an idea of how she lived in the U.S.).
PATERSON
A town with a waterfall that played a key role in US industrialization, to the point that is called the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution. It was the nation's first planned industrial city. Things took a downturn after the 1930s depression and today it has a stagnant economy and high levels of poverty and crime.
